Isaiah turns 2!!

Recently we had a party for our little man. He is such a cutie. He still doesn't quite get what a "party" is, but it was fun for all.

First we started with some yummy food!

Gr Grandma Lucille, Mommy Christine, Aunt Diana and Christine's friend Kate and her two kids, Adam and Nina getting their share of the bounty.

Above cousin Jared and Kalea have a good time together, while below. . .

Aunt Kelsey takes a hand as a beautician to cousin Danielle.

Cousin Alicia (from Japan) was on hand also, to help moderate the soccer net play.

Being that his family had just moved into a new house a day and half ago, trying to get a cake baked and all was pushing it, so we improvised with this yummy alternative...cupcake with candles and a CAR!! (Isaiah loves the movie Cars)

First we sing. . .

Then we get ready for the big blowout. . .

Here it comes!! (thanks Danielle's head for getting in the way of the blowout)

Yum! Nothing like an inch of frosting to tickle the tastebuds of this young man!

Kalea has no problems downing the cake, although she prefers chocolate (she gets that from me, of course)

Then it was time to open presents. Turns out that at 2 if the best present is opened first, then all else goes out of the mind. He loved his new train set from his Grandma and Grandpa Hulihan and poor Mommy had a hard time getting him to open the rest of his presents. However, Kalea and Adam had no such distractions, they were all over the presents.

As you can see, Grandma and Grandpa Hulihan and Aunt Diana found the present opening highly exciting!

Ahh to the coveted prize.

And then it turns out the best part of the present was the part of the extras that went round and round. Go figure, maybe by 3 he will be into the train itself :)

(Appears that I missed getting her in a picture, but Isaiah's gr grandma Betty was there too. Those of us who hadn't met her before found her very charming and lots of fun to talk to.)

Looks like ya'll had a marvelous time. I'm glad someone is posting pictures of what's going on with your family. Kids grow so fast. Maybe I'll actually recognize a few people when I finally get back to California.
